Ashburton Investments, a UK-based investment manager, has appointed Robert Lea to head its newly formed global equity research team.

The new team will offer analysis for the firm’s multi asset strategy, and equity solutions that comprises the Global Leaders Equity Fund and the specialist equity range including the India, Energy and Chindia funds, managed from Jersey.

Lea previously served as a global equity research sector head and strategist at Swiss banking giant UBS.

He will be assisted by Jonathan Aldrich-Blake, who currently serves as investment manager at Ashburton.
