Yin previously worked at the head of China equities at Goldman Sachs.

He also served as the partner and head of the international division at Shanghai Chongyang Investment Management and CEO of Chongyang International Asset Management.

He will continue to be based in Shanghai and report directly to UBS Asset Management president Ulrich Koerner.

Yin will also join the bank’s top Asian management and report to regional head Edmund Koh.

Besides, he will sit on the bank’s client coverage management committee.

Buehlmann, who has worked at UBS for 28 years, plans to take a sabbatical prior to assuming a new role at the firm.

Other management changes in Asia Pacific:

UBS has made several changes to its Asia Pacific leadership team in the recent times.

Last month, the bank appointed Amy Lo and August Hatecke as the new co-heads for its wealth management business in Asia Pacific.

The pair succeeded Koh, who was named as the president of the Asia Pacific business in October 2018.
