Lockwood Advisors, an affiliate of BNY Mellon, has launched a new investment solution known as Lockwood/American Funds Core Portfolios, which will bundle American Funds’ mutual funds with exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The newly launched solution will enable financial professionals to club active and passive strategies to help achieve investor goals.

By GlobalDataLockwood/American Funds Core Portfolios will enable financial advisers to serve investors through three investment strategies: savings (appreciation), transition (balanced) and retirement (conservative growth).
The portfolios, which have an account minimum of $10,000, will be available through Lockwood’s managed accounts solution Managed360.
Lockwood chief operating officer Joel Hempel said: “This new solution brings together our portfolio construction capabilities with the American Funds family of mutual funds to provide our clients with a solution that will help them effectively manage investor goals across life cycles through a combination of active and passive strategies.”
American Funds is part of a financial services provider Capital Group.
Capital Group senior vice president of wealth management Bill Brady said: “With our focus on low fees and a history of superior long-term outcomes, we believe American Funds will be an important ingredient in Lockwood’s portfolios designed to meet people’s real-life objectives.”
