HSBC Switzerland has made string of hires from its rivals to strengthen its client service and investment management teams based in Geneva, Zurich, Luxembourg and Dubai.
The bank has poached Achilles Fokiades from Credit Suisse as senior relationship manager for its Greek desk in Geneva, while Cyrine Ben Chiboub has been hired as senior relationship manager from JP Morgan for the Atlantic Institutional team in Geneva. To bolster the UK desk in Zurich, the private bank hired Andrew Larsson as senior relationship manager from UBS.
The bank’s Luxembourg office named Peter Markmann as senior relationship manager for the Scandinavian desk, John Paul Keane as senior relationship manager for the multi-family office team and Fabio Martinuzzi as senior relationship manager for the Europe International team.
The bank’s Middle Eastern team in Geneva hired Bachir Barakat from Coutts as senior relationship manager and promoted Carla Abou-Rjeily, who is currently Saudi Arabia business head, to the role of deputy market head for MENA and Nikhil Chawla, former chief administrative officer to a business, as head for MENA.
Private Bank (Suisse) also hired Giridhar Bhatia and Catherine Falk as relationship managers in its Dubai branch office.
The bank also bolstered its regional client servicing teams in Geneva by hiring Guillaume Deloche de Noyelle from Societe Generale as investment manager and Michael Leroux from HSBC’s operation in the UK as product specialist trader.
It also hired Sandrine Rol from HSBC’s office in the US to lead the Discretionary offering sales efforts. The bank poached Lauren Hendren from UBS Switzerland to bolster its portfolio management support team based in Geneva.
