Matt Stovold has been appointed as the head of Australia and New Zealand at S64, the wealth management industry’s partner for alternative fintech and solutions.

After a year of notable expansion in the area, this strategic move will strengthen S64’s presence in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Having held leadership positions in financial technology, asset management, and private wealth management, Stovold is an experienced member of the Australian financial services sector.

His 25-year career encompassed positions at prestigious companies like Franklin Templeton, JBWere, UBS, and Goldman Sachs before he joined S64.

As a specialist in providing tailored client solutions including investments and technology, Stovold is ideally positioned to spearhead S64’s subsequent phase of regional expansion, including the extension of its Australia Unit Trust offerings and front-to-back technology platform.

Asset managers and private banks in EMEA and APAC rely on S64 as a reliable partner because of its modern technology and unique capacity for producing products that open doors to the private markets.

S64 is at the forefront of creativity in private markets for private wealth, having been the first maker of private markets retail access solutions, including AUTs, ELTIFs, evergreen semi-liquid funds, feeders, and securitised solutions.

Tarun Nagpal, CEO of S64, stated: “Matt is a fantastic addition to S64’s leadership team in APAC. Australia and New Zealand are of critical strategic importance to S64, presenting a phenomenal opportunity set for S64’s Australia Unit Trust Platform and our market-leading technology offering. Matt’s industry knowledge and connectivity will prove invaluable to our clients and prospects.

Stovold added: “I am excited to be joining S64 to lead their Australia and New Zealand business. S64 is a pioneer in private markets innovation for private wealth with a breadth of product manufacturing capabilities and technology solution that perfectly address the demands of Australia and New Zealand financial intermediaries.
