A group of senior veteran military leaders and capital market experts, known as Kingswood Defense Group (KDG), has been established by Kingswood US, a member of a global network of independent wealth management firm.

KDG will assist businesses in the aerospace and national defence industries.

Pushing the way in promoting creativity and growth in the aerospace and national defence industries is KDG.

KDG has established and long-lasting relationships at every level of the defence and financial sectors, which puts it in a good position to assist businesses at every step of Department of Defense (DOD) contract negotiations and capital markets operations.

In addition to working with public and private companies on strategic planning, acquisitions, and capital needs, KDG also offers advice to improve their ongoing business operations, product development, DOD procurement plans, and worldwide market analysis.

Clients can make decisions faster in a variety of national defence and aerospace industry segments via KDG.

Jeff Thompson, an Army veteran with more than two decades of expertise in financial services and business, heads this group of senior executives and former military officials. He has extensive experience in capital markets, investment management, private equity, venture capital, and banking, leading organisations in growth and transformation initiatives.

Moreover, other KDG members are:

  • Scott Robison, a 22-year veteran with eight years of operational test experience, is a serial entrepreneur and business consultant. With vast experience in managing teams and evaluating emerging technology, he is sought after by companies seeking market presence.
  • Marcos A. Cervantes, a veteran with over two decades of experience in venture capital and the Army, has been instrumental in procuring innovative technologies for Special Operations and supporting national security initiatives. He has also led global projects and strategic investments.
  • Jay Wisham, a 25-year Army veteran, is the former executive director of the Army Applications Laboratory, leading innovation activities and private capital investments. He has successfully implemented AI and data-enabled systems in Army Futures Command.
