William Blair, a global boutique with expertise in private wealth management, has hired Maarten Meurs as a managing director in its Financial Sponsors Group.
Meurs will collaborate with the company’s various industry sector experts to accelerate its growth in the Benelux region.
William Blair head of European investment banking Anu Sharma said: “We have expanded our European presence by more than doubling the size of our team over the past five years and now have more than 85 investment banking team members based in Europe.
“We have a long history of serving Benelux clients with exceptional outcomes, and are excited to continue the strong transaction momentum with Maarten focused on the region.”
Meurs, who has over 16 years of industry experience, was previously associated ABN AMRO Bank in Amsterdam. He most recently served as executive director of corporate finance leading M&A transactions.
Before that, he held numerous positions with the RBS and its predecessor ABN AMRO Bank within its investment banking arm.
