Westpac Banking Corporation has appointed Francis D’Souza as their head of Westpac private bank in Asia.

Headquartered in Singapore, D’Souza will oversee all of Westpac’s private banking operations in the region.

Prior to this role, he was regional director for ANZ in Asia. Beforehand, he spent over fifteen years in various senior positions at Standard Chartered.

Bala Swaminathan, general manager of Westpac Asia, said: "Attracting a senior executive with Francis’ depth of experience is testament to the strong reputation we are building in Asia. It demonstrates our sustained commitment to invest in and attract the right talent in an important region for the bank – connecting our customers to the increasing trade, capital and people flows."
