Wells Fargo Wealth Management saw client assets rise to $217 billion in the first quarter of 2014, 6% higher than the same period in the previous year.
Overall, Wells Fargo saw net income of $5.9 billion this quarter, a 14% jump compared to the first quarter of 2013. However, revenue was $20.6 billion, a small drop from the $21.3 billion revenue created in the same period last year.
John Stumpf, chief executive, said: "Our solid first quarter results again demonstrated the ability of our diversified business model to perform for shareholders. As we move forward in 2014, I am optimistic about the opportunities ahead and believe that we are well positioned for growth."
