Weatherbys Private Bank has made two senior hires to expand its team.

Clare Munro joins the firm as a senior tax adviser. She has been in practice since 1982. Most recently, she was the lead tax partner at Lubbock Fine.

In addition, she has previously held roles at PwC’s corporate tax department and spent 13 years at Haslers where she became the focal point for Haslers’ trust, inheritance tax, and wills work.

Furthermore, Rupert Allison has taken the role of associated director and team head.

His 30 year career has spanned private banking and investment management. He joins from Barclays Private Bank where he was a director focused on building a high net worth client base. Other career highlights include spells at Coutts Private Office and HSBC Private Bank.

Quentin Marshall, head of Weatherbys Private Bank, said: “Rupert will lead a team responsible for building a book of clients focused on banking, credit and investing, as well as bringing his wider experience to help run and grow the overall Private Banking offering.

“Clare’s outstanding knowledge will assist the Investment & Wealth Advice team whose three key areas of expertise are cash flow planning, structuring affairs efficiently and investments.  Together they will further enhance our ability to deliver excellence which will benefit both our clients and the business.”

Allison added: “I am delighted to be joining Weatherbys where clients are treated like members of an extended family where every client is treated as an individual.  I think the combination of the Weatherbys offering, which remains full-service private banking, lending and wealth management combined with their independent ownership, is now unique in the market-place.  Some lending can be approved in a single day – so refreshingly different from the ‘computer says no’ disservice that has become sadly familiar.”

“Added to a genuine, well-resourced and well thought-out desire to grow, it is a very exciting opportunity for me and interesting time to be joining the bank.”

Munro continued: “I was impressed by the integrity and dedication to client service which permeates Weatherbys’ services and am enthused by the prospect of applying my tax experience to help Weatherbys’ clients in such a constructive and professional environment
