Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate (Warburg-HIH Invest), a German real estate investment firm, is set to open a new branch in London as part of its strategy to manage business through dedicated centres.
The company also appointed Martin Payne as the managing director of WarburgHIH Invest Real Estate UK, its wholly owned subsidiary that will manage the UK business along with TH Real Estate.
In the new role, Payne will manage Warburg-HIH Invest UK’s portfolio with €375m in assets under management as well as implement transactions.
Payne has spent over two decades in the property investment sector. He was previously associated with TH Real Estate.
“The United Kingdom is one of the leading national economies in Europe. The unease that Brexit has been causing lately will subside as the negotiation outcomes become known in the course of 2019. With its new branch office in London, WarburgHIH Invest is even better positioned than it was to identify investment opportunities,” Payne noted.
The new office is the company’s third branch to have opened in the last one year, the other two being the Vienna branch that launched in September 2017 and the Amsterdam branch that opened in January this year.
