According to the report, the President made the statement while addressing the Party of Regions congress on 30 July 2012.
Ukrainian News Agency quoted Yanukovych as saying that the government has already submitted a draft law on wealth tax to the Parliament. Despite of some weak points the draft law should be passed to make tax system fairer.

In March 2012, President Viktor Yanukovych had said that businessmen, parliament members Rinat Akhmetov (Party of Regions faction), Kostiantyn Zhevaho (Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc – Batkivschyna faction) and also businessman Viktor Pinchuk had supported the introduction of wealth tax.
