Swiss banking group UBS and Singapore’s Wealth Management Institute (WMI) have joined forces to launch a new programme on anti-money laundering (AML).
The initiative, dubbed WMI Anti-Money Laundering Risk Management Program, has been sponsored by the Swiss bank and accredited by the Institute of Banking & Finance.
WMI will develop learning modules on AML and the countering of financial terrorism (CFT) as part of the three-year programme.
The programme will specifically focus on AML/CFT issues faced by the wealth management sector with an aim to combat them and Singapore’s role as an international financial centre.
Under the new programme, WMI will also commission research papers associated with AML and CFT.
