Swiss wealth manager UBS has opend its second university campus at the UBS Business Solutions Center (UBS-BSC) in Wuxi, China.

The new UBS University campus will deliver training and professional development programmes for younger staff with an average age of 27. This includes an International Talent Exchange Programme to help employees network with its other offices.

The new Wuxi campus adds to the Swiss firm’s other university campuses across Asia Pacific, which are located in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.

UBS China Strategy Board chairman Eugene QIAN said: “China is a key market for UBS and one in which we will continue to invest. The opening of another campus in China this year further demonstrates our commitment to developing local talent to support business growth.

“UBS’s workforce in China already exceeds 1,000 and we are well on track to achieve our objective of doubling headcount here by 2020.”
