Swiss banking giant UBS has hired Credit Suisse’s global head of asset management banking Joseph Hershberger as the new vice chairman in its financial institutions group.
In the new role, Hershberger will focus on global asset management efforts, according to a company memo.
He will begin work at UBS in the second quarter of 2016 and will be based in New York.
At Credit Suisse, Hamish Summerfield – who currently works as head of asset management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa – will replace Hershberger.
Before joining Credit Suisse, Hershberger worked as head of hedge fund and asset management banking at Putnam Lovell.
