Swiss banking group UBS has proposed the names of Jeanette Wong and William Dudley as members of its board.
The pair will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders. The meeting is scheduled on 2 May 2019.
Wong began her financial career in 1982, which includes over three decades in senior roles in Singapore.
Until March 2019, Wong is responsible for managing the institutional banking arm of Singapore’s DBS Group.
She formerly worked as the CFO at the Singaporean bank.
She also spent 16 years at J.P. Morgan, where she was responsible for developing the Asia and emerging markets business.

Between 2009 and 2018, Dudley served as the CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Besides, he was the vice chairman and permanent member of the Federal Open Market Committee.
Dudley also chaired the Committee on the Global Financial System of the Bank for International Settlements.
He served as a partner and managing director and senior economist at Goldman Sachs before moving to the Federal Reserve.
Additionally, UBS announced that Ann Godbehere and Michel Demaré will not stand for re-election to the board.
The two have been working at the firm since 2009.
Referring to Wong and Dudley, UBS chairman Axel Weber said: “With their outstanding careers in leading financial services firms and central banks they will further strengthen the UBS Board with their excellent know-how upon their election at the upcoming AGM.
“It is essential for the Board that its members reflect the strategic and geographical core businesses of the Group and I am particularly happy to strengthen the Board’s competences in APAC and the US, two of our key growth markets.”
