UBS Wealth Management has appointed Jonathan Nash as alternative investments distribution specialist for UK & Jersey.

Nash will sit in UBS’s Investment Products & Services team, working alongside client advisors to bring UBS’s alternative capabilities to clients. He will develop UBS’s alternative investments sales and after sales activities and will also help to bring new offerings in the alternatives arena to the UK & Jersey markets. Nash will report to Paddy Lewis, head of investment products and services for UK & Jersey.

Nash joins UBS from Renaissance Asset Management, where he was sales director for the UK and Nordics. He has over 23 years’ experience in the industry, covering all traditional and alternative asset classes. Nash has extensive experience in senior sales and client service roles at a number of asset management firms and fund groups.

Nash said: "As the investment world continues to experience lower returns, alternative investments will play an increasingly important role in portfolios in 2016 and beyond. UBS is placing ever greater emphasis on providing a full suite of alternative investment products to clients and, from my perspective, it is a great time to be joining the team."
