UBP has entered into a partnership with independent family group, Rothschild & Co to enable private and institutional clients to diversify their portfolios in private equity.

The partnership will give UBP access to Rothschild & Co’s private equity experience and provide further opportunities for its clients to invest in unlisted companies, a statement from the Swiss bank has said.

Rothschild & Co’s private equity and debt funds total more than €11bn, which this partnership will provide UBP clients access to.

UBP will act as investment advisers for the portfolio of small and medium-sized companies, which Rothschild & Co will manage.

Guy de Picciotto, UBP’s CEO, said: “We are very pleased to be working alongside a renowned leader in private equity,” says UBP CEP, Guy de Picciotto.

“Thanks to UBP’s expertise and Rothschild & Co’s positioning in this market, we will be able to develop our exclusive offering directed at major private and institutional investors by opening up innovative and varied investment opportunities to them.”

Alexandre de Rothschild, executive chairman of Rothschild & Co, adds: “Over ten years we have been building up a private equity platform spanning the full spectrum of expertise we have at Rothschild & Co, which has enabled us to offer our clients the best investment opportunities in the small and medium-sized segment.
