The new fund will be sub-advised by AEGON USA Investment Management (AUIM) and will be available to retail and institutional investors through A, C and I share classes.

According to Transamerica, the fund seeks to provide investors with high current income, with capital appreciation as a secondary objective.

Transamerica said the fund will employ a diversified, multiple asset class approach, investing in exchange-traded funds providing underlying exposure to high yield bonds, non-US (including emerging markets) debt, dividend-paying stocks, preferred stocks, master limited partnerships.

The fund will also provide underlying exposure to real estate investment trusts, international real estate, international equities, US corporate bonds, US government bonds, treasury inflation protected securities.

AUIM head of tactical portfolio management will lead the portfolio management team responsible for the fund’s strategy.

Transamerica Asset Management president and CEO of the fund’s investment adviser John Carter said they believe this Fund will help investors meet their income and capital appreciation needs not only today, but as they enter retirement.
