British wealth manager Tilney has appointed Andy Grant as its new head of financial planning division.
Grant will be responsible for driving the growth of the firm’s financial planning business, which comprises 208 financial planners in 30 UK offices.
Grant has previously held senior roles at various financial services and insurance firms. He most recently served as the COO of British Business Bank.
He also served as the COO of Royal London and Amlin. He started his career at Accenture and also worked for ten years at UBS.
Tilney CEO Chris Woodhouse said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to Tilney. He brings extensive experience in managing teams, business integrations, change management and driving growth and joins at a really exciting time for the business as we embark on our next phase of growth and development.
“Tilney is in great shape having invested heavily in both new technology and building our brand while also recently reporting a record year for revenues, gross new business and profitability. Andy will lead what is already a sizeable, UK-wide team of exceptionally high calibre financial planners and he will play a pivotal role in helping us build our financial planning business further, including through new hires and potential acquisitions.”
