British wealth manager Tilney has bolstered its Scottish presence by launching a new office in the Exchange District of Edinburgh.
The new location is 20% larger than the firm’s earlier Edinburgh office in Melville Street.
At present, the new location is staffed by 43 people. The office is said to have space for additional employees.
Apart from Edinburgh, Tilney has operations in Glasgow as well as Aberdeen.
Moreover, the firm appointed Ronnie Binnie as the managing partner for Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Binnie most recently served at Standard Life Aberdeen, where he had a 27-year stint.
At Tilney, Binnie will be in charge of the east of Scotland business.
He will report to Tilney head of Scotland and Northern Ireland Paul Frame.
Frame said: “Ronnie joins at a very exciting time for our business in Scotland as we look to expand our client based further and continue to make additional hires in both our financial planning and investment management teams.
“Having already established an excellent client base in the east of Scotland, the opening of Tilney’s new and bigger Edinburgh office is a yet another milestone to achieving our ambition of becoming the most trusted wealth manager in Scotland.”
Tilney has 30 offices and employs more than 1,000 people. It manages over £23bn in assets.
