Temasek, Singapore’s state investor, has set up a new private credit platform to scale its credit and hybrid solutions portfolio, as well as capitalise on global private credit opportunities.

The new private credit platform is wholly owned by Temasek.

It currently handles a portfolio of approximately S$10bn ($7.4bn), comprising both direct investments and credit funds.

This portfolio is being managed by a team of about 15 experienced credit investment professionals. These professionals, who have been integral to Temasek’s Credit and Hybrid Solutions team, will operate from offices in New York, London, and Singapore.

Heading the new platform as CEO is Nicolas Debetencourt, who has been at the helm of Temasek’s Credit & Hybrid Solutions since 2016.

Since 2016, Temasek’s credit & hybrid solutions team has been actively expanding its direct and fund investments in the private credit space.

The establishment of the new platform complements the services of Seviora Group, a Temasek asset management business, and its subsidiary SeaTown Holdings International, which also provides private credit solutions in Asia.

In April this year, Temasek Trust established TT Foundation Advisors (TTFA) to offer inclusive philanthropic consulting and management services to foundations, family offices, corporations, philanthropists, and charities across Asia.
