SYZ Asset Management, a subsidiary of Swiss-banking group SYZ, has named Thierry Cherf as the new head of institutional sales for Switzerland.
Based in Geneva, Cherf will be responsible for increasing the firm’s engagement among Swiss institutional clients including pension funds and insurance companies. He will report to the firm’s head of business development, Florent Guy-Ducrot.
Cherf most recently was director of distribution at Safra Sarasin in Geneva. He previously also worked as senior relationship manager at UBP and head of distribution for French-speaking Switzerland at LGT Capital Management.
In addition, the firm appointed Sachin Sukthankar as institutional client developer. Based in Zurich, he will be responsible for developing institutional clients for German-speaking Switzerland. Sukthankar will report to Cherf.
Sukthankar previously worked as securities specialist at UBS, global custody performance analysis specialist at Julius Baer, and as an investment controller and a specialist in traditional investments at Avadis Group.
