Swiss private bank Banque SYZ has appointed Yasmina Barin its new head of advisory as part of its strategy to bolster the investment advisory for its private clients.

In her new role, Barin will manage a team of seven investment specialists, who provide investment services to private clientele.

The service strengthens advisory portfolios of private clients by recommending novel and effective investment ideas, the private bank said.

Barin started her professional career with the research team at Capital International. Later in October 2006, she joined the SYZ research team as a senior analyst where she was responsible for security selection in consumer sectors. She also contributed to multi-asset fund management.

In February 2015, Barin joined the private banking advisory service, where she was in charge of implementing a new advisory management offering.

Commenting on Barin appointment, Banque SYZ head of wealth management Silvan Wyss said: “Private clientele active in portfolio management ask for much more than share recommendations.

“They are looking for innovative and sustainable investment solutions as well as direct access to banking experts. I am particularly pleased to entrust this major role to Yasmina Barin, who has set herself apart with her skills and knowledge.”
