Philadelphia-based law firm Stradley Ronon has opened an office in Chicago and added four partners from K&L Gates to its investment management practice.
The company in a statement said that the new office will enable the firm to provide on-the-ground service in the Midwest in the investment management industry and other areas.
The Chicago office is Stradley Ronon’s first location outside the mid-Atlantic region and its eighth office overall.
Additionally, the company has hired former K&L Gates partners David Glatz and Alan Goldberg as new partners for its investment management group, while Eric Purple and Nicole Trudeau will also join as partners for its Washington office.
Stradley Ronon said the new hires will bring the total number of staff at its investment management practice to 60, who represent registered investment companies, including open-end funds, closed-end funds, interval funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and unit investment trusts (UITs).
Stradley Ronon chairman William Sasso said: "Our new geographic footprint deepens our existing capabilities by adding to the strength of our robust investment management group and allowing us to expand other practices such as commercial litigation, corporate and securities, financial services, insurance, intellectual property, and securities enforcement and litigation into the Midwest."
