Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Richard Pattle as vice chairman, private banking clients, as it builds its Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) segment.
Pattle brings with him extensive experience gained in his military career as a battlefield helicopter pilot and leader and, more recently, working for TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Master of the Household since 2008, Pattle will lead aspects of the bank’s UHNW proposition, specifically around client engagement initiatives.
Based in London, Pattle will report to Stephen Richards Evans, global head, UHNW, private banking clients.
"I am excited that Richard has joined the Private Banking Clients team. His extensive experience in the Royal Household and previous leadership experience in the military will be a significant asset as we enhance our services and solutions for UHNW clients.
"UHNW clients in our footprint markets of Asia, Africa and the Middle East account for approximately $8 trillion of the estimated $28trn global UHNW wealth," said Michael Benz, global head, private banking clients.
Standard Chartered has also appointed Rahul Raswant, director, strategy, in the bank’s strategy team, as the executive director for UHNW private banking clients.
