Standard Chartered has hired Peter Kok as its ASEAN head of private banking from 18th August 2014.
Kok joins from UBS, where he held the role of managing director and regional market manager. In a career that spans over twenty years, he also held senior roles at ING and ABN AMRO.

Based in Singapore, Kok will report to Michael Benz, global head of private banking clients, and Neeraj Swaroop, chief executive Singapore.
Benz said: "I am excited that Peter has joined the team. ASEAN is a key market in our footprint and with his wealth of industry expertise and leadership capabilities, Peter is well-places to steer the direction for the bank to capture the significant scale of private banking opportunity in this region."
