Under the alliance, both the companies will share GSI’s trading facilities and platform for fixed income trading.
The deal will reduce transaction costs and increasing volume for both the companies.
Through this partnership, STS will be able to access GSI’s sophisticated international platform, to better serve their offshore clientele.
Additionally, GSI will be able to access STS’ products not currently offered by GSI’s platform including, but not limited to municipal bonds, futures/commodities and precious metals as well as investment banking opportunities.
Robert Escobio CEO Southern Trust Securities said: "We are excited about moving forward in our relationship with GSI and believe this is a first step to dramatically grow both GSI and STS."
Orlando Medellin, CEO of Global Strategic Investments said: "We are pleased with the strategic alliance with STS and are confident this will be a first step to accomplishing the growth of both entities."
