Societe Generale has named Andrew Kim as its new chief country officer for South Korea and branch manager of Societe Generale Seoul branch, replacing Raphael Cheminat who will assume another role within the group.
Kim, currently working under SG Securities Korea, will be based in Seoul. He will report to Societe Generale Asia Pacific CEO Hikaru Ogata in the new role.
He will be transferred to Societe Generale Seoul Branch on 1 June, and will assume his position as branch manager on 1 August.
After joining in the new capacity, Kim will be replaced by Jey Hyung Rhee as head of debt capital markets (DCM) for Korea, and by Gun-Suk Chai as head of financial institutions group for South Korea.
Jey Hyung Rhee will be responsible for developing the DCM business and maintaining the services and relationship with the bank’s clients in South Korea. He will join in the new position on 1 June and will be based in Seoul.
Gun-Suk Chai will help further expand the business by maintaining and expanding relationships with key financial institutions. He will be based in Seoul and will join in the new role on 1 June.
