Skandia International has expanded Middle East and Africa sales teams with the appointment of Dawn Walker-Bennett and Tom Northway as new area managers.
Bennett has joined Skandia International, part of Old Mutual Wealth, as an area manager for the Middle East last month, while Tom Northway has joined the firm as area manager for Africa.
Walker-Bennett will be based in Dubai and will focus on maintaining and developing relationships with key distribution partners.
Walker-Bennett, with over 16 years of industry experience, has joined the firm from AFH Wealth Management in the UK where she was business development director.
Northway in his new role will be based in Nairobi from early 2014 and will focus on developing relationships with Old Mutual Africa, local IFAs and banks, helping to broaden Skandia International’s reach in the region.
Northway has joined Skandia as an area manager for Africa in November 2013. Prior to this, he worked at Raiffeisen Private Bank as a consultant, and earlier to this he worked at Raiffeisen Bank International as a director for fund sales.
