Skagen Funds has appointed Johan Swahn as a new portfolio manager for the €5.6 billion Skagen Global fund team, effective from 10 March 2014.

In his new role, Swahn will work alongside Kristian Falnes, Soren Milo Christensen and Chris-Tommy Simonsen on the Norwegian group’s global equity fund.

With over 13 years of investment experience, Swahn joined Skagen from Stena AB in Gothenburg, where he worked since 2008 as an investment manager on its global, long-only mandate.

Prior to this, he served as a sell-side analyst at Morgan Stanley, Handelsbanken and UBS Warburg.
