Schroders, the UK-based global asset manager, has appointed Dina Welch as senior client portfolio manager to coordinate the development of its fixed income client portfolio management capabilities. This new hire is integral to the firm’s strategic focus on its North American and global fixed income platform for US institutional and intermediary clients.
Reportedly, Ms. Welch will report to Karl Dasher, Schroder’s global head of fixed income and will be based in Philadelphia, working between Schroder’s offices there and in New York City. Ms. Welch will be responsible for ensuring the consistency of processes across Schroder’s fixed income teams and reinforcing recognition for the firm’s innovative products and solutions to a broad section of North American-based investors.
Ms. Welch joins Schroder Investment Management from SEI Investments where she managed portfolios starting in 2003 as senior investment analyst, US taxable fixed Income. At SEI her responsibilities later evolved to senior portfolio manager, global fixed income and since 2007 as head of global fixed income.
Karl Dasher, head of fixed income globally for Schroders, said: We are all pleased to welcome Ms. Welch to Schroders. Her appointment underscores the importance we place on fixed income and the tremendous business opportunities our offering creates for our franchise in the US. She is an outstanding professional with deep experience and we will look to her for guidance as we further implement our strategy.”
