Schroders Personal Wealth has poached Peter Brunt from investment research firm Morningstar to serve as its new head of manager research.

In the new role, Brunt will be tasked with developing fund manager research as well as supporting the fund selection process.

He will report to the head of investment management Alessandro Poli.

Brunt worked at Morningstar for five years, latterly as an associate director.

His financial endeavour started at S&P Fund Research.

Additionally, Schroders Personal Wealth hired Jennifer Christian as an investment specialist.

Christian will operate out of Manchester, with responsibility for supporting clients and business growth.

She will report to the head of investment specialists Jon Wingent.

Christian previously had stints at Quilter Cheviot and Deutsche Bank.

Launched last year, Schroders Personal Wealth is the joint financial planning business of Schroders and Lloyds.

Lloyds has a 50.1% stake in the business while Schroders owns the remainder.

Last month, the business established 11 UK regional offices.

The offices will be located in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Guildford, Manchester, Leeds, London as well as Oxford.
