British fund manager Schroders has named Alan Cauberghs as its new head of private assets.
In the new role, Cauberghs will be responsible for Schroders’ insurance linked securities management arm Secquaero, SME direct lending firm NEOS, specialist private equity solutions unit Adveq, and Real Estate and Infrastructure Financing businesses.
Based in London, Cauberghs will be tasked with pulling together the firm’s investment solutions in real estate, infrastructure financing, private debt as well as private equity. He will report to the group CEO Peter Harrison in the new role.
Cauberghs formerly was senior investment director for fixed income at Schroders. This responsibility will now be taken up by the global fixed income product team till a replacement is named.
Cauberghs previously also served as the founding partner at Serone Capital Management, managing director at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts and deputy head of fixed income at Dexia Asset Management.
