Sanne, a fund administration services provider headquartered in Jersey, the UK Crown Dependency, has set up a new office in India.
Located in the city of Mumbai, the new office will initially cater to existing clients in the country.
Sanne chief commercial officer Mark Law said: “We have been providing high quality alternative and corporate services to clients in India for more than 25 years, so this next phase of evolution in the region is exciting.’
“We are delighted to establish a new presence in an exciting market like India. This is in direct response to client demand and will serve to further add to our already well-established network and market expertise.”
The firm has appointed Khushboo Chopra as head of business development for its India business.
At the same time, Sanne named Varounen Goinden as the new director and head of business development for Mauritius and India.

Sanne has made several expansion plans in the Asia market recently.
Earlier this year, the firm opened an office in Tokyo, Japan.
A week ago, the firm received a bookkeeping licence in China.
