Sanlam UK has made leadership changes for its Harrogate office, including the appointment of Eleanor Ingilby as the head of the office.
Sanlam Private Wealth CEO Penny Lovell said: “Since she joined in 2015, Eleanor has been a committed member of the Sanlam family and an active member of our portfolio management team. This is a very exciting and well-deserved promotion.
“We have plans for further expansion of the Harrogate office team in the next quarter as we anticipate there will be further commercial opportunities in Harrogate and the wider region.”
The firm also named Stephen Wood as a chartered wealth manager.
Wood will work alongside portfolio manager David Battersby, assistant portfolio manager Sukhbir Lall, as well as Ingilby,
Wood was previously in charge of portfolios for HNWIs, families and trusts at HSBC Private Bank and Brown Shipley.
His 16-year financial career also includes stints at Exxonmobil and AstraZeneca.
Earlier this year, Sanlam UK appointed Paul Clifford as a wealth manager in its Cumbria office.
Sanlam UK has been on an acquisition spree recently.
In 2019, the firm picked a 55% holding in Avidus Scott Lang and took over the management of three VAM Global Management discretionary funds.
Sanlam UK also acquired Thesis Asset Management, Blackett Walker, and Astute Wealth Management last year.
