Ryan, a global tax services firm, has appointed Mehrdad Talaifar as a principal to support the continued growth of the its global tax technology practice.
He will lead sales and engagement management for the Firm’s tax technology services and provide global companies proven expertise and support in multiple tax services, including indirect tax, income tax, and transfer pricing compliance automation and process improvement. Mr. Talaifar will be based in Ryan’s London office and joins an International Tax management team in Europe leading the Firm’s continued market penetration into more than 40 countries across the world.

Mr. Talaifar has more than 25 years of indirect tax experience and was among the founding team of a leading company providing global transaction tax automation and management solutions. Mr. Talaifar held private and public sector roles as a tax executive for a major consulting firm and a Senior Auditor at the California State Board of Equalization. Most recently, he was the Senior Director of Strategic Relations for a global business information services corporation providing tax and accounting technology applications. Mr. Talaifar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from San Francisco State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.
