British wealth manager Rowan Dartington has expanded to Scotland by hiring investment manager Peter Roper in Edinburgh.
Roper, who joins from Tilney Bestinvest, will represent Rowan Dartington from St. James’s Place offices in Edinburgh. At Tilney Bestinvest, he served as director and investment manager for five years.
In the new role, he will work directly with the region’ private clients and will be responsible for offering DFM solutions to SJP Partners.
Roper has extensive experience in advising private clients on aspects such as restructuring portfolios of direct investments and asset allocation, discretionary management, specialist investment vehicles, SIPPs as well as income planning.
Rowan Dartington executive chairman Graham Coxell said: “Developing a presence in Scotland has been a priority since the acquisition by St. James’s Place and Edinburgh was the obvious starting point for us.
“When expanding geographically, it is essential to bring people with an in-depth knowledge of the region and Peter’s proven track record advising local clients for more than 15 years will prove invaluable to the firm.”
