Cardiff-based robo adviser Wealthify has named Ben Luckett, the former strategy director for Aviva’s UK general insurance, as its chairman.
Luckett, who has been on Wealthify’s board since last year, is also the current managing director of Aviva’s corporate venture fund, named Aviva Ventures.
He was said to be instrumental in helping the robo adviser to secure funding from Aviva in 2017.
Luckett said: “I am looking forward to being even more involved and supporting the business to reach its full potential. Wealthify has a very bright future, with a hugely talented and ambitious leadership team. We have many exciting developments ahead of us and I’m thrilled to be taking up my new position at such a crucial time for the business.”
Luckett succeeds Richard Avery-Wright, Wealthify’s co-founder and angel investor.
Avery-Wright’s resignation as chairman follows Aviva’s acquisition of Wealthify, which was concluded in June this year.
