Robeco Institutional Asset Management has appointed Ryan Changwon Kim as new chief representative for South Korea office.

In his new role, Kim will be responsible for overseeing and developing the firm’s Seoul operations.

Two sales staff will report to Kim, who in turn will report to Tony Edwards, Asia-Pacific CEO of Robeco.

Prior to joining Robeco, Kim served as investment advisory head at Mercer for two years. Before that, he worked at sovereign wealth fund Korea Investment Corporation for nearly four years as a portfolio manager and before that as an equity analyst at Daewoo Securities.

The company is planning to add more sales staff in Hong Kong and Singapore in a bid to expand its investor base among institutions and banks in Asia.
