Raymond James is set to strengthen its European investment banking practice with the launch of an office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in June 2017.
The team at the Frankfurt office will specifically cater to clients in the German mid-market, corporates and private equity, as well as also focus on capital market M&A and strategic advice.
The office will be staffed by managing director Dirk-Oliver Loffler, vice president Julian Knirim, and vice president Jens Gerlach.
Loffler most recently served at M&A boutique Richmond Park Partners and previously was also head of M&A advisory at Berenberg.
Knirim formerly served at Richmond Park Partners and at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, while Gerlach previously worked at Citigroup. The firm also plans to make additional hires for the new office.
Raymond James head of European investment banking Melville Mummert said: “Frankfurt is strategically important for us. Therefore I am delighted that Dirk-Oliver Loffler, an experienced investment banker, has decided to join us to help drive the expansion of our business in Europe.
