Rathbone Investment Management has named Cherie Hamoudi as new investment director in a move to strengthen its Scotland operation.

Based at the firm’s Edinburgh office, Hamoudi will report to regional director David Macauley, reported Portfolio Adviser.

In her new role, Hamoudi will be responsible for managing private client portfolios, SIPPs and charities.

Hamoudi joined Rathbone from Barclays Wealth & Investment, where she served as vice president. Prior to this, she held roles at Torrie & Co, Albyn Investments, and Turcan Connell.

Macauley said: "Over her 26 years working with private clients, Cherie has accumulated invaluable expertise and she thoroughly understands their expectations and how they can be best met.

"Cherie joins Rathbones as we prepare to open our new office in Glasgow," he added.
