Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings (R&Q) has signed a joint venture agreement with London-based Phoenix Asset Management Partners.
Under the terms of the deal, Randall & Quilter has sold its 50% interest in its existing insurance debt assets to Phoenix for up to $6.9m.

The transaction will allow R&Q to access a wider range of opportunities in this investment area through greater scale.
The agreement will see both the firms working together to buy (re)insurance debt in insolvent estates.
