Quilter Old Mutual appoints CEO Andy McGlone. The announcement follows last month’s rebranding of the firms wealth management business from Old Mutual Private Client Advisors to ‘Quilter’.
McGlone succeeds Martin Baines who has been at the helm of the discretionary fund manager for 15 years.
Baines will serve as a senior adviser to the Quilter Cheviot board throughout 2019. He will now report to Quilter Cheviot chairman Ian Buckley and Quilter CEO Paul Feeney.
The appointment of McGlone, who joined Quilter Cheviot in 1994 and currently serves as the firm’s managing director, is pending regulatory nod.
In further management reshuffles, Karin Cook has been appointed as the new COO of Quilter, effective 2 January 2019.
Subject to regulatory approval, Cook will replace Steve Braudo who will step down on 5 October 2018 in order to pursue other opportunities.
