Qualified Plan Advisors, part of Prime Capital Investment Advisors, is set to launch its first office in Florida this year.
The firm’s new Florida business will be headed by Tyler Olson as managing director.

Qualified Plan Advisors CEO Glenn Spencer said: “Tyler has a 14-year track record of building a world-class retirement business based out of Overland Park, Kansas. We couldn’t be more thrilled that he has agreed to relocate to Florida and continue our buildout of retirement practices across the United States.”
The company will initially set up temporary offices in St. Petersburg and expects to get a permanent home by mid-2018.
At present, the firm is hiring consulting and advisory personnel for Tampa, St. Petersburg as well as Orlando markets.
Commenting on the move, Qualified Plan Advisors founder and executive chairman Scott Colangelo said: “This is a very exciting time for our firm, expanding into Florida is simply the next step in building the industry leading retirement firm nationally.”
