Psigma Investment Management has hired Rathbones investment director Tim Wishart to launch an office in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In his new role, Wishart will be responsible for leading the firm’s expansion into Scotland, while also managing private client, charity and pension portfolios.

Wishart has more than 24 years of private client investment management experience, in which 12 years were spent at Rathbones. He has been based in Edinburgh since 2007.

John Howard-Smith, CEO of Psigma, said: "This latest regional expansion further leverages our ability to share the intellectual capital and expertise of the Punter Southall Group which now has 21 Scottish based wealth management specialists.

"Wishart’s wealth of experience and contacts will be highly valuable to the firm, especially as we build our presence in Scotland, which we see as being another very important cornerstone of our plans for regional expansion."
