Prime Capital Financial has strengthened its presence in the US with the addition of Sugarloaf Wealth Management, an RIA headquartered in Georgia.
This represents Prime Capital Financial’s foray into the Atlanta metro area in the US.
It adds nearly $1bn in assets under management/advisement and a team of 13 professionals, to Kansas-based Prime Capital Financial.
Since its inception in 1989, Sugarloaf has been offering comprehensive financial services, catering to a diverse clientele, including college and professional athletes and coaches.
The firm’s offerings span financial planning, investment management, and risk management, among others.
Sugarloaf now gains access to Prime Capital Financial’s platform and expertise, to improve client experience and support personalised service.
The collaboration is part of Prime Capital Financial’s strategy to penetrate key markets by partnering with firms that focus on client success.
Sugarloaf’s Jason Connolly said: “Becoming part of Prime Capital Financial allows us to build on the foundation we’ve spent decades creating while gaining access to enhanced resources and support.”
The integration of Sugarloaf into Prime Capital Financial’s operations is expected to bolster its foothold in the Southeast, enhancing its position as a provider of comprehensive financial planning solutions in the US.
The deal, slated for completion in early March, was facilitated by financial advisory firm Houlihan Lokey.
Prime Capital Financial CEO Glenn Spencer said: “Prime Capital Financial actively seeks firms that share our dedication to providing tailored financial solutions and exceptional service.
“Sugarloaf’s rich history and specialised expertise make them an ideal partner. Together, we’re well-positioned to broaden our support to individuals and families across the Southeast region.”
Prime Capital Financial, previously known as Prime Capital Investment Advisors, offers services such as fee-based asset management and wealth management through its Prime Capital Wealth division.
