PGIM Investments has named Brenda Leow as the new head of Southeast Asia, with immediate effect.

Operating out of Singapore, Leow will head wholesale sales and distribution of the company’s investment strategies across key markets in the region.

Her role will involve broadening the client network and fostering partnerships with private banks, family offices, wealth managers, and global financial institutions. She will report to PGIM Investments Asia head Jessica Jones.

Jones said: “Brenda’s deep expertise in sales and distribution, combined with the breadth of her financial intermediary relationships, will be integral in reinforcing our long-term partnership with clients and growing our business in Southeast Asia.”

With over two decades of experience in the asset management industry, Leow brings a wealth of knowledge in sales, distribution, marketing, and product development.

She joins PGIM Investments from SBI Digital Markets, where she was the head of business management.

Her previous roles include positions at Natixis Investment Managers, Fullerton Fund Management, Deutsche Asset Management, and SG Asset Management.

Leow said: “PGIM Investments is in a unique position to bring institutional-grade investment capabilities across a multitude of asset classes to address investors’ needs.

“I look forward to working closely with the team to meet this growing demand for access to relevant products, helping clients achieve true diversification and return enhancement across portfolios, especially at a time of heightened macro uncertainty.”

In April this year, PGIM announced plans to expand into the Middle East, led by Mohammed Abdulmalek.

PGIM, the global asset management business of Prudential Financial, operates in 42 offices across 19 countries and jurisdictions. With more than 1,400 investment professionals, PGIM manages assets worth $1.4 trillion, catering to retail and institutional clients globally.

PGIM Investments has recently made its institutional-quality offerings accessible to private wealth investors. The business offers over 100 funds globally.
