Perella Weinberg Partners, a global independent advisory and asset management firm, has set up an office in Chicago.
The new location is the firm’s 11th office across the globe. Apart from Chicago, the firm also has offices in New York, Houston, London, Abu Dhabi, Austin, Calgary, Denver, Dubai, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

The Chicago office will be headed by Brennan Smith, who has joined the firm’s advisory unit as a partner.
Smith most recently served as a managing director in the global industrials group and head of Midwest industrials at Citi.
In the new role, Smith will focus on building an advisory professional team and expanding client coverage in Chicago and the Midwest. He will also work alongside the firm’s global industrials team to expand sector coverage.
