OppenheimerFunds, a US-based asset manager, has named Patrik Silfverling as the new head of the Nordics and Benelux operations.
Based in Stockholm, Silfverling will help develop the firm’s sales and distribution footprint with institutional and high-net-worth clients in the Nordic and Benelux regions. He will report to the firm’s EMEA head Doug Stewart.
Silfverling most recently served as the director and head of the Nordics region at Franklin Templeton.
“Expanding our presence with clients in key wealth centers across the Nordics and Benelux is critical to building a truly successful asset management franchise in Europe. Patrik’s trusted industry relationships and deep multi-asset product expertise will be a significant asset to help lead our business in these important markets going forward,” Stewart stated.
The latest appointment furthers OppenheimerFunds’ plan to expand in EMEA. Previously, the firm appointed Dicken Watson as the COO for EMEA and launched new European headquarters in London.
